A wallet system is useful if you handle frequent refunds, gift cards, or cashback style loyalty: instead of a bank refund every time, you credit the customer’s in-store wallet, and they’re likely to spend it back into your store.

What a good setup needs:

• Balance visible on the account page and at checkout.
• Admin ability to manually credit or debit wallets for support cases.
• Auto crediting on refunds and cancellations, not manual entry.
• Support for partial wallet plus partial gateway payment, so customers aren’t forced to use 100% wallet balance at once.
