I want to plan my sale calendar for the rest of 2026 and early 2027, but I’m not sure which dates are worth running offers for.

Should I run a sale for every occasion, or focus on just a few big ones?

Don’t try to run a sale for every occasion. Spreading discounts too thin trains customers to wait for the next offer and eats into your margins. A better approach:

1. Pick 4 to 6 anchor dates: choose the occasions your customers already shop for (major festivals, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, year end, New Year, Valentine’s Day) rather than every date on the calendar.
