A lot of customers abandon checkout when they see the full price at once. I keep hearing about “pay in installments” options, how do I actually add that to WooCommerce?

BNPL works well because it lowers the perceived price barrier at checkout, and stores that add it often see a lift in conversion on higher ticket items. To set it up:

1. Choose a BNPL provider: options like Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm, or region specific providers offer WooCommerce plugins or gateway integrations directly.
2. Check eligibility requirements: most providers have minimum order value thresholds and approve the customer in real time at checkout, not after.
3. Display it early: show “as low as ₹X/month” pricing on the product page itself, not just at checkout, since that’s what actually influences the buying decision.
4. Understand the payout structure: BNPL providers usually pay you the full amount upfront (minus their fee) and take on the collection risk themselves, so your cash flow isn’t affected by installments.
5. Set it alongside your other payment options: don’t replace your standard gateway, offer BNPL as an additional choice at checkout.

Confirm your BNPL provider actually operates in your customers’ region before setup, since availability varies a lot by country.
