ParticipantMid-season, focus on quick wins for pages that already exist, because new content takes weeks to rank and the shopping window is short.
Open Google Search Console and find pages that already get impressions but few clicks, then rewrite their titles and meta descriptions around what festive shoppers search for: gift ideas, sale names, “under a price” queries, and “last date for delivery” questions. Update your top category and product pages with festive wording, clear headings, and product schema so prices, stock, and ratings can show in search results.
Create or refresh one festive landing page, such as a gift guide or sale page, and link it from your homepage banner, menu, and best-selling products so both search engines and shoppers find it. Use a permanent URL (for example, /festive-sale/) and update it each year so it builds authority over time, rather than making a new page for every sale.
Speed matters too, because slow product pages lose rankings and sales, so compress images, remove unused scripts, and test on mobile.
Add short, direct answers to common festive questions on the page (delivery cutoffs, return policy, gift wrapping), since both search engines and AI answer tools tend to surface clear answers.
Avoid changing URLs or restructuring your site during the sale, and when the season ends, keep the page live with a “see you next year” message instead of deleting it, so you keep its ranking.
