In WordPress, we have both Posts & Pages but what is the difference between these two terms?
January 13, 2023 at 4:33 am #712Jacob SmithParticipantWordPress by default includes two different content types: Posts and Pages. Despite having a similar appearance to the WordPress dashboard, they have various functions for your website.
What do WordPress posts mean?
Articles, blog posts, and other information that appears on your blog page are all created using posts. They are displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent information appearing first. What do WordPress Pages mean?
Pages contain static, “one-off” material such as your contact page, privacy statement, and others. Pages are timeless objects, even if the WordPress database retains the published date of the page.Key Differences of WordPress Posts & Pages:
These are the main distinctions between posts and pages in WordPress, to sum up.
- Pages are ageless, whereas posts are timely.
- Pages are not intended for social media sharing; only posts are.
- While pages are hierarchical and arranged as child and parent pages, posts are organized using categories and tags.
- Pages lack an author or publication date, whereas posts do.
- There may be some exceptions to the differences we described above. To increase the usefulness of both content kinds, use WordPress plugins.

January 23, 2023 at 10:20 am #816Devin WilliamsParticipantYour site’s blog section is made out of WordPress posts. WordPress posts contain content that is organized and categorizable and is written in the sequence of publication. In a blog, posts can also be “pinned,” making them appear first regardless of when they were published.
To create the Post on the WordPress site, Firstly Login to WordPress Dashboard There you will see “Posts” click on the Post you will see these options All Posts, Add New, Categories, and Tags. Click on Posts then click on Add New then Update the Title in the title Section and the content below the title. Once the title and content are ready to publish, then click on Publish. Your Post will show.
To create the New Page Login To WordPress Dashboard click on Pages when clicking on Page these options will show All Pages and Add new. To add the new page click on Add New then update the title and Content when it is updated then click on Publish, Page will publish.
