As theme plays a vital role while creating a website . It helps in giving an amazing look to your Business Online . So How Installing & Activating theme in WordPress workout.
Installing means that you have added that theme on your server, you can even see its files in your File manager after installing it. Activating means that you have activated to go live on your site so that your site begins using that theme.
What is the difference between a Normal theme and a child theme in WordPress?
The layout and look of your website are provided by a WordPress theme. Your website’s front-end appearance changes when your theme is modified. The look and behavior of your website are created by WordPress themes, which are groups of various files.
You must make adjustments to the theme’s core files if you wish to customize a WordPress theme to meet your needs. When the theme provider pushes an update, all of your adjustments will be replaced with a brand-new theme. Therefore, your choices are to either create a child theme or refrain from updating the theme, which I won’t advise.
Without altering the parent theme itself, a child theme in WordPress would take on all of the features, functionality, and code of the parent theme. This preserved the ability to update the parent theme while allowing users to add or modify functionality while changing the parent theme’s appearance.
Two files (style.css and functions.php) and at least one directory (the child theme directory) make up a child theme.
